KP Homecare Services provides a wide range of professional non-medical home health care services for seniors who require assistance in their own homes, in retirement living or in long-term care facilities. Anyone who needs help may benefit from a home care service.

Growing old gracefully may still be the case for our senior citizens, but as they grow older, they are faced with many challenges; no fault on their own.

Families and friends are the first to notice the decline in their loved one’s behavior, cognitive abilities to make decisions to keep up with self-care, driving and getting lost, “Where did I put my keys and eye glasses?”, shopping, cooking, household chores, all of which seem a very difficult task to complete. The loss of independence increases overtime, which leads to further isolation, loneliness and depression.

Here are some ways I can help our senior citizens live well.

❖ Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) e.g: grooming and getting dressed, personal hygiene, bathing or showering, and assistance to the bathroom

🔆Mental Stimulations, Meaningful Activities and dialogue
❖ Table games e.g. puzzles, games, assembling blocks, story-telling, art work, painting and writing

🔆Physician Approved Physical Activities
❖ Range of Motions (ROM), light chair exercises, fun physical games, going for a walk or a wheelchair stroll.
